     Rev. Steve Maynard’s guiding philosophy of life is “To livie more ‘Spiritfully’ every day, in every way”.  His decision to enter ministry as an “encore career” was an opportunity to “walk this talk” – opening a way to encourage others to live their own inner truth in similar ways.

     An ordained Unity minister, Rev. Steve previously served congregations in Salinas and Dublin, California. Since coming to San Diego in 2009, he and his wife Olivia have launched a “virtual” and “real” community called “Make the Rest the Best!”.  The purpose of Make the Rest the Best is to inspire, support, connect and educate people transitioning into and living the experiences of the 2^nd Half of Life.

     Rev. Steve and Olivia are the parents of four adult children and eagerly await the arrival of their fifth grandchild in April.

Sam Flynn, RScP,  has been a student of Science of Mind since 1994. He walked through the doors of Pacific Church of Religious Science in San Diego to attend a talent show event.  This, seemingly accidental event, began a life changing journey rich in deep spiritual fulfillment.  During his journey at PCRS with Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn, he learned that our gifts are expressed from a deep inner experience of ourselves.  He continued the path of coursework and community at Pacific Church, each step of the way finding a greater experience of Life. He completed classes and was licensed as a Practitioner by United Centers for Spiritual Living in 2001.  His professional life has been in business and accounting.  He has spent many years merging finance and spirituality.  He worked at Pacific Church of Religious Science for several  years learning to create a spiritually based path of finance.  Sam has always been directly involved with his church creating a community of love.

          Sam’s deepest desire is share with others the wondrous gift that life is; that every aspect of our lives is offered to be a magnificent experience.  Indeed, God is good, all the time.  His awareness of Divinity in all people creates a space for healing and transformation.  Through teaching, services, classes, community outreach, and counseling Sam’s mission is to facilitate people in experiencing the love of God within themselves.  It is this call to serve that lead him to enroll in the Holmes Institute School of Ministry.  He is dedicated to supporting people in the fullest experience of life.

          Sam is a prayerful, powerful and gentle man.  He lives from the heart and is a caring presence in world.  His ministry, whether it’s church, class, or home, is an opening for all of us to be Divinely expressed in the world as a loving presence, saying yes to life. 

Rev. Sharon Hudson

Rev. Sharon Hudson is the founding minister of Light of Life Church in Rancho Bernardo, CA.  She is on the faculty of Holmes Institute and has served as a chaplain at San Diego Children's Hospital.  She has taught interpersonal communications, relationship dynamics and leadership for more than twenty years.  She believes that the greatest human need is for love.  She is passionate about the teachings of Science of Mind.  She brings humor, love, wisdom, and great compassion to all she does.  Her background is in accounting, systems analysis and information systems management. Rev. Sharon is a regular speaker at Om Spiritual Center and we are so honored to have her speak in March.
