Rev Steve Maynard
Rev. Steve Maynard’s guiding philosophy of life is “To livie more ‘Spiritfully’ every
day, in every way”. His decision to enter ministry as an “encore career” was an opportunity
to “walk this talk” – opening a way to encourage others to live their own inner truth in similar ways.
An ordained Unity minister, Rev. Steve previously served congregations in Salinas and Dublin, California. Since coming
to San Diego in 2009, he and his wife Olivia have launched a “virtual” and “real” community called
“Make the Rest the Best!”. The purpose of Make the Rest the Best is to inspire,
support, connect and educate people transitioning into and living the experiences of the 2nd Half of Life.
Rev. Steve and Olivia are the parents of four adult children and eagerly await the arrival of their fifth grandchild
in April.

Junior Church at The New Thought Center for Creative Living, (Now known as Center for Joyful Living) She is a Gifted
and Talented Educational Consultant for the Unified San Diego School District and has been for thirty years and is often employed
as a Visiting teacher. She has been awarded for Excellence and Leadership in Gifted and Talented Education is an active
member in Toastmasters and has received her award as a Distinguished Toastmaster and High Performance Leadership Awards.
It is her belief that everyone is God-Expressing and through the Principles taught in Science of Mind opens themselves
to the Divinity of their Highest Good.
Starting February 4th through March 11, 2010 we are honored to have her join our New Integrated Mega
Educational Center at Om Spiritual Center to Teach a Course on "The Hidden Mystery of the Bible"

Sam Flynn, RScP Feburary 28th Guest Speaker Sam Flynn, RScP has been a student of Science of Mind since 1994. He walked through the doors of Pacific Church of
Religious Science in San Diego to attend a talent show event. This, seemingly accidental event, began a
life changing journey rich in deep spiritual fulfillment. During his journey at PCRS with Rev. Dr. Kathy
Hearn, he learned that our gifts are expressed from a deep inner experience of ourselves. He continued
the path of coursework and community at Pacific Church, each step of the way finding a greater experience of Life. He completed
classes and was licensed as a Practitioner by United Centers for Spiritual Living in 2001. His professional
life has been in business and accounting. He has spent many years merging finance and spirituality. He
worked at Pacific Church of Religious Science for several years learning to create a spiritually based
path of finance. Sam has always been directly involved with his church creating a community of love.
Sam’s deepest desire is share with others the wondrous gift that life is; that every aspect of our lives is offered
to be a magnificent experience. Indeed, God is good, all the time. His awareness of
Divinity in all people creates a space for healing and transformation. Through teaching, services, classes,
community outreach, and counseling Sam’s mission is to facilitate people in experiencing the love of God within themselves.
It is this call to serve that lead him to enroll in the Holmes Institute School of Ministry. He
is dedicated to supporting people in the fullest experience of life. Sam is a prayerful, powerful

Rev. Suzette Wehunt Rev. Suzette
Wehunt's jouney to ministry began like many of us who come to New Thought churches... looking for a new way of living life.
She began her studies with Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn in October of 1994 at PCRS in Mission Valley, San Diego. She took every
United Centers for Spiritual Living consciousness class that was offered and in 1998 graduated as a Practitioner of Religious
Science. Rev. Suzette continued her dedication to Spirit and the beautiful world that unfolded and followed PCRS
as it evolved to Pacific Church under the leadership of Rev. Duchess Dale. Rev. Suzette honed her skills as a Spiritual Counselor,
Educational Director, Teacher and Pastoral Care Director over the next 3 years. It was during this time Rev. Suzette realized
her desire to enter into the school of ministry at Holmes Institute. Rev. Suzette Graduated Holmes Institute in
2005 with a MA in Consciousness Studies. Fulfilled her Ordination requirement as the Assistant Minister at Vision;
A Center for Spiritual Living in Tierrasanta and was ordained in April 2008. In July 2008 opened a Teaching Center,
Om Spiritual Center. The guiding principle for Rev. Suzette over the many years is to embody the
depth and understanding of how Spiritual Principles and Truths work in one's life. To watch the natural evolution
of Spirit unfold as the individual learns that God only wants us to be the fullest expression, all
the time. Rev. Suzette has supported many individuals to realize and live their life
from a deep knowningness that God only says "Yes"... and that we do not have to live from effect, but from
a place of creation, learn from the stuff that deters our progress, while allowing the guidance of God to guide
us along the journey... until the "Thing" evolves into the purest expression of God.To
her credit she has created many programs and has served as the Video Conferencing Director at Holmes Institute.
She has taken the concept of Teaching Chapter / Center to a whole new level. Offering Sunday services that incorporate
the basics of a regular Sunday Service with an educational twist where the congregant gets a chance to actually process the
message and incorporate the "Gems" of the talk into their own life. 2010 projects include creation of
a Spiritually Integrated Educational Center, Community Outreach Programs and creation of Services and Classes
that allow Ministerial students a way to practice the elements of Ministry before they launch fully into the life of being
a Minister. God is Good and fully unfolding as Om Spiritual Center, as some have said: There's no place
like Om. Rev.
Sharon Hudson March 21st Guest Speaker Rev. Sharon Hudson is the founding minister of Light of Life Church
in Rancho Bernardo, CA. She is on the faculty of Holmes Institute and
has served as a chaplain at San Diego Children's Hospital. She has taught
interpersonal communications, relationship dynamics and leadership for more than twenty years. She
believes that the greatest human need is for love. She is passionate about the teachings of
Science of Mind. She brings humor, love, wisdom, and great compassion
to all she does. Her background is in accounting, systems analysis and
information systems management. Rev. Sharon is a regular speaker at Om Spiritual Center and we are so
honored to have her speak in March.

Chanara Tone for Peace
Chanara
began performing when she was a small child. It’s always been a part of her life in some capacity. Her academic
achievements have earned her a Masters of Music degree. She has been equally serious about her life-long study of spirituality,
metaphysics and consciousness. Like strands of a rope, she has entwined the two disciplines. "Performing takes
me into a dimension beyond time. It’s wonderful. While I am singing, I can sense a soft dazzling, golden light coming
into the top of my head and anchoring into my spine, just behind my heart.
It somehow merges with the sound waves of my voice and goes out to touch others. It goes inside of them.
Whether I am singing an aria or chanting overtones, it’s the same. I sing to instill a sense of well-being in myself
and others."
As a teacher, Chanara creates a mind-body approach to speaking, singing and performing. A before-and-after
video demonstrating the results of her methodology is available on request.
She is also an astrologer and author.
Her book, "Money, Astrology and You in the Driver’s Seat" was the mother of MoneyHoroscopes, individual life
readings that guide people to their personal path of financial contentment.
Jeanne Phillips, RScP
March 28th Guest Speaker
Jeanne Phillips has walked a unique path in ministry
– from TV News producer to hospice chaplain! She has served as a licensed Religious Science Practitioner
and spiritual counselor since 1996, as well as directed the Education Ministry and taught Religious Science classes for more
than 10 years. In addition, she is credentialed as a Mindful Guide Life Coach.
After earning a BA degree in Broadcast Journalism, Jeanne spent twenty years reporting, anchoring and producing the
nightly news at various stations throughout the United States. Her "inner compass" guided her out of the newsroom
and into the San Diego Zoo Public Relations Department where she produced documentaries and shows for Animal Planet,
PBS and network news broadcasts. In 2003, Spirit called her to take a larger leap - into chaplaincy training and the hospice
ministry. She
currently works as a full-time Team Chaplain at LightBridge Hospice in San Diego, providing spiritual and emotional support
for patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Jeanne is also working toward her MA degree in
Consciousness Studies as a Ministerial student at Holmes Institute. She says her greatest joy is seeing the Divine within each individual while holding a
safe and sacred space of unconditional love. Her greatest desire is to be a healing presence, offering
comfort and compassion to everyone she meets.Jeanne’s strong communication background, wide-ranging experiences and deep spiritual consciousness make her
a powerful speaker who guides, empowers and inspires her audience.
Dr. Wanda Wainman, RScP Dr. Wanda Wainman is a newly licensed Minister and holds a
Doctor of Divinity from Emerson Institute, San Diego.
Dr. Wanda's Journey has been challenging. She has lived with and transcended the challenges of AIDS/HIV for 28
years. Share her journey from five years in and out of hospitals, being in a wheelchair and releasing the physical symptoms
that often go along with this dis-ease and the process that was her healing path. Her experiences prior to this life changing
event was a diverse and multi-facted one. She holds a BBA and has established many successful businesses as well as
her ability to empower others to become leaders in their fields through her understanding of interpersonal
relationships and sound ethical business practices. She spent many years as a chemical dependency counselor so her understanding of addiction though eating disorders, drugs
and alcohol counseling broadens her awareness of what it takes to break habits that no longer serve. As a visionary
and lover of education, music, and dance she brings to Om a broad perspective. Her background in theater lends itself to the
Joyful, Humorous and Unique way she presents materials that sometime might be a little dry. Her desire to experience
fun is obvious as she presents new an exciting ideas for todays world. Some of the classes she will present this year
are Sacred Leadership, The Different Ways in which to mentor others, Life Skills, such as Self-esteem, Building Healthy Relationships,
Dancing through Lifes Changes and Challenges, Communication and Conflict resolution,
and Unleashing the Creative Power Within. She will be offering workshops on Healing and how to tap into the Healer within
throughout the year as well. Her ability to take topics like Quantum Physics and use it to teach the principles behind the
Healer within in a simple and understandable way is truly unique. Join her as she teaches at Om Center and Speaks on
the Second Sunday of each month throughout 2010. Currently she serves on the California State Medical
Advisory Board for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program and has a long history as a political advocate for those who need
empowerment. She is also a graduate of the California State Women's Healthcare Leadership Program. She currently
is part of a World Peace Organization along with many certificates in conflict resolution, energy healing, and too much more
to list here. Currently she is a spiritual counselor and religious science practitioner
and coaches clients on visioning their lifes' purpose and heartsong and then creating a plan of action based on
that vision. She is also dedicated to the growth and evolution of Om Spiritual Center with Reverend Suzette Wehunt though
integration and unique practices-- breaking though the barriers of the traditional church paradigm to create a new and exciting
